The City of Orange is excited to launch Envision Orange 2050, a new Comprehensive Plan that will serve as a roadmap for the community’s growth, development, and quality of life over the next 25 years. This plan will guide how Orange addresses subjects like housing, businesses, parks, and infrastructure, and how to preserve the unique character that makes our city special. 

The Envision Orange 2050 planning process will consist of four phases, each with opportunities for community engagement, and will follow the proposed timeline below:

Community participation is the foundation of this comprehensive plan effort. By completing the Vision Survey, you will help shape a shared vision for Orange’s future. Your input here will inform the development of:

• Broad, achievable, long-term goals that reflect community values,
• Specific, measurable objectives to help reach those goals, and
• Policies and actions that will make the vision a reality.

This survey is the first of several opportunities to share your thoughts throughout the planning process. Later phases will invite deeper feedback on topics such as land use, transportation, housing, and economic development, as well as provide a chance to review draft plan documents.

Visit an Open House

Participate in an upcoming open house event to help shape the future of Orange! We want to hear your ideas, priorities, and vision for what Orange should look like in the years ahead. Drop in during any of our Open Houses to learn about the Comprehensive Plan process, explore informational displays, and share your thoughts on subjects like community goals, land use, housing, transportation, and resiliency. 

Upcoming Meetings
Open House meetings will be held in the Community Room at the Planning and Community Development Building, located at 303 N. 8th Street, from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm on the following dates:

• December 2nd, 9th, and 16th
• January 7th, 14th, and 21st
